Organisation for Friendship in Diversity
 OFD is a non-governmental organisation run by an eight-person committee. The overall objective of OFD is to cultivate friendships amidst diversity through cultural understanding.
As a growing organisation, OFD relies greatly upon the dedication of its volunteers for the success of its activities and in reaching its goals.
This past year OFD was happy to welcome volunteers from far and wide... Volunteers from France, Germany, Canada, Kyrgyzstan and of course Malta all contributed their time and skills to help bring Summer Camp Malta 2009 to life and made it a huge success!
On a wider note, OFD hopes its activities will become a tool for challenging social stigmas in Malta today, particularly those surrounding migrant and refugee communities.
A number of events, the first having been ‘Summer Camp Malta 2009’, will provide a safe space for local, migrant and refugee children to interact under the guidance of our volunteer facilitators whilst carrying out fun and educational activities.
Working with adults and children OFD will hold a number of events and activities that will encourage interaction between people from different cultures and backgrounds.
These will include another yearly summer camp for children, seminars and trainings for students and adults, awareness raising events and fundraising activities, amongst others.
